A dump truck driver had to be rescued by the Los Angeles Fire Department and is in serious condition after a crash in Brentwood Friday morning.The collision at 701 N. Tigertail Road occurred just after 9 a.m., when firefighters extricated the dump truck driver after his vehicle collided with multiple parked cars, the LAFD said in a news alert. The driver, a man, was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. The other vehicles were all unoccupied, according to Nicholas Prange of the LAFD.The crash also took down "a series of power poles," the department added. "There may be extended power outages in the area. 24-Year-Old Female Rider Dies in Deadly Collision near Keyes RoadKEYES, CA (April 7, 2023) – Tuesday morning, police responded to a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 that claimed the life of Ireland Rolon.It happened on April 4th just before 8:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 99, just north of Keyes Road.According to the police, the incident involved multiple vehicles including a female rider identified as 24-year-old Rolon.Investigation showed that Rolon, riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed, collided with the side of a Kia Soul.Furthermore, the impact caused Rolon to be ejected from her motorcycle and crash into the rear of a Ford Fusion.Unfortunately, Rolon died at the scene by responding deputies. Moreover, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.At this time, it was unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident. 31-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near Indian School RoadPHOENIX, AZ (April 7, 2023) – Late Thursday night, Ramon Aaknes was killed in a DUI collision on 7th Avenue.Police responded to the scene around 11:20 p.m., near Indian School Road after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.According to reports, Aaknes crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck. Upon impact, the driver and passenger inside the truck immediately fled the scene on foot.Medical personnel arrived and transported 31-year-old Aaknes to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.Following preliminary duties, officers were able to locate the two suspects inside the truck who fled the scene. Crews then took the truck driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- Ethan Boyes, a professional cyclist and champion sprinter in the sport, was killed in San Francisco this week, the SF Bicycle Coalition confirmed to KRON4 Friday. Boyes was riding a bicycle at 4 p.m. Tuesday when a car struck him on Arguello Boulevard, near the Presidio Golf Course and the Presidio Loop trailhead, according to United States Park Police.Boyes, who is a San Francisco resident, died from his injuries. His Strava profile shows the professional cyclist regularly went on rides in the Presidio, including a ride on Monday.
