Attack in southern Mexico community left at least 6 wounded, undetermined number of dead MEXICO CITY (AP) — An attack in a remote community in the southern Mexico state of Guerrero caused an undetermined number of deaths and wounded at least six people, a local human rights group said Saturday.The attack with drones and gunmen Thursday on Buenavista de los Hurtado allegedly by the Familia Michoacana drug cartel sent residents fleeing. Six of the wounded made their way to neighboring Tetela del Rio for medical treatment, said Rev. José Filiberto Velázquez, a priest and director of a human rights organization, the Minerva Bello Center.Velázquez went to Buenavista with soldiers and agents from the state prosecutor’s office Saturday. He said they found a burned vehicle with human remains inside, but said they had not determined how many people were inside. Flakes begin to fly as region braces for season’s first major snowstorm (WHDH) — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning ahead of expected heavy snow this weekend and residents in some communities were out making last-minute purchases as the flakes began to fly Saturday night.The storm is expected to continue overnight and through much of the day Sunday before winding down and pulling out of the region. SDSO: Two dead in murder-suicide at apartment complex near El Cajon, victims identified KSWB -- Two people are dead after what police are calling a murder-suicide at an apartment complex in the unincorporated area of El Cajon Saturday afternoon. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department told FOX 5 the incident occurred on the 1600 block of Hilton Head Court around 12:43 p.m. When deputies arrived, two people -- a man and a woman -- were found with gunshot wounds.
